ABOUT
Aashna is an abstract artist based in Melbourne exploring two parallel visual worlds. Her practice is rooted in quiet attention and close observation of the natural world — the movement of water, the stillness of trees, the warmth of the sun — all expressed through acrylics and pen. Her abstract water series forms an emotional landscape, while her pen work unfolds as a meditative, slow‑looking practice.
Alongside acrylics, she continues to explore gouache, watercolour, and oils as part of an evolving, cross‑disciplinary approach to image‑making. Recently, her exhibition On Becoming Water was on display at Brunswick Street Gallery,Fitzroy marking an important step in her emerging visual language.
Aashna is currently completing a Diploma of Visual Arts at RMIT University.
